You know, it’s not too difficult to look around and see the damage done by, or the fruit of, fathers. So, occasionally I’ll share with you a brief article or story of a father who did something right.
Today’s comes from Indiana. A guy by the name of Ron Phillips founded an organization back when his own kid was in high school, 15 years ago. This is a simple organization that encourages men to get involved in students’ lives at school and in co-curricular activities. Pretty cool!

Even though I have a great father, there were other men who took their role in my life seriously, and they made a great contribution. Men like my Scoutmaster, Art Remnet. Take a minute and share with us, in the comments below, the men who helped shape you.




My own father provided consistent, sound, thoughtful, useful advise. When I was angry at someone and wanted a payback, he very calmly walked me through the potential outcome that might develop. He was, is, a hugh influence on my life as a husband, father and former police executive.
